President Obama appeared to enjoy skewering everyone from the General Services Administration to Mitt Romney during the 98th annual White House Correspondents’ Dinner last night. He joked about his birth certificate reminding the audience with a wink he was born in Hawaii. He took at shot at members of Congress too.
Obama called the Hilton ballroom where the gathering was held a Romney fixer upper then joshed about the cost suggesting he thought it was a General Services Administration gathering where not even a mind reader knew what was going on. He wrapped up his remarks saying he’d like to spend more time speaking but had to get the Secret Service home in time for their new curfew. The dinner was a star-studded affair attended by politicians ranging from New Jersey Governor Chris Christie to former presidential candidate Rick Santorum. Former Secretary of State Colin Powell was in the audience along with Lindsay Lohan, Kim Kardashian, Steven Spielberg, Sofia Vergara, William Levy and George Clooney.
