Recent studies they made show that JLo has made over $10 million singing to cronies and moguls from Eastern Europe and Russia, and they are not pleased. Lopez performed for Turkmenistan’s Gurbanguly Berdymukhamedov last month, serenading him for his birthday.
HRF president Thor Halvorssen complained,
“JLo has repeatedly mingled with and entertained some of the world’s worst thugs and their cronies. This is not about ignorance, it’s about greed.”
The Human Rights Foundation has also pointed out some more of JLo‘s alleged performing offenses, including a concert in the dictatorship of Belarus in October of 2012, singing for corrupt Russian bureaucrat Alexander Yolkin in November of 2012, and singing at the wedding of an Uzbek industrialist’s son back in 2011.
