It seems Jennifer Lopez is paying the price for dating a younger man, after she was allegedly mistaken for his mother.
According to The Enquirer, J.Lo was was paying a visit to McDonald’s with her toyboy lover Casper Smart, when the cashier made the mistake of asking the 24-year old dancer if he wanted to pay separately to his mom.
The publication claims that Jen was enraged by their error, and was heard shouting: “I’m his girlfriend, not his mother!” – before grabbing Casper’s arm and leaving the eatery.
A source revealed: “Jennifer is tired of people making comments. She doesn’t know what’s worse — being mistaken for Casper’s mother or accused of being a cradle-robbing cougar! But it kills Jennifer every time the age difference is brought to her attention.”
“The two of them stopped in a McDonald’s recently, and Jennifer was mortified when the cashier asked Casper if he wanted to have his mother’s order added to his or if they were going to pay separately. Jennifer shouted: ‘I’m his girlfriend — not his mother!’ The cashier’s comment really bruised her ego.”
Another insider recalled a separate incident at a bar, where Smart was asked to prove his age: “Jennifer just doesn’t think she looks that much older than Casper and took huge offence when the bartender carded Casper and not her,”
They added: “Jennifer enjoys spending time with Casper, but her ego is taking a solid beating. Friends predict the nonstop comments from strangers are the beginning of the end for the couple.”
Lopez is thought to have struck up a relationship with Smart following her split from hubby Marc Anthony, with sources previously stating they are “inseparable
