Just in time for the new season of “Jersey Shore,” Snooki is showing off a new slender physique.
These days, Nicole Polizzi, also known as Snooki, the pint-sized “guidette” with the supersize personality, sends more Twitter updates about her gym workouts than about her bar hopping. A typical post to her nearly 4 million followers: “As everyone’s planning their night at the club, I’m wondering when Gold’s [Gym] closes.”
But the gym rat rocked the blogosphere with the big news about her weight loss: The 4’9″ celeb told E! Online that she is down to 102 pounds. But her goal is even lower: Snooki added on Twitter, “Closer to my goal weight 98lbs.”
Fans on the Web noticed Snooki’s smaller size: Searches in December for “snooki weight loss” grew a hefty 970%, along with “snooki skinny” and “snooki 98 pounds,” which tipped the scales with an increase in lookups of 200,000%.
The woman with the big hair and now tiny bod credits cardio, cutting calories, and a controversial diet pill, Zantrex-3.
To complete her new fit figure, the 24-year-old told E! Online that she’s going under the knife to give her bust a boost. The celeb told the entertainment channel that she plans to have a chest like her BFF, J-Woww, “very soon. Very soon. I hope in the next couple of months.”
The star told People that she works with a trainer, has tried Zumba dance classes, and maintains a relatively healthy diet, eating “egg whites in the morning and chicken and salads.” She added, “And if you do drink, it’s gotta be clear liquors.”
Snooki didn’t even give up gym time over the holidays, and tweeted two days before Christmas: “Getting an extra hard workout in this morning so I can enjoy an Xmas cookie… Or 2.”
At one point, the obsession with weight went too far: The former cheerleader has admitted to having had an eating disorder in high school, dropping to a dangerously low 80 pounds.
The reality-show phenom told the Daily Mail that she was sick of celebrity blogs sniping about her size, but said, “I didn’t lose weight for them. I did it for me.”
