A-Rod Charity Under Fire For Mishandling Funds VIA @AJELKALLEJERO

The A-Rod Family Foundation has been accused of pocketing a large portion of its donation profits. The IRS claims that in 2006 the organization raised over $400,000 at a poker event, yet only gave one percent of the earnings to charity.

Several other high-profile athletes have also been accused of being less than generous with their foundations. Baltimore Ravens receiver Anquan Boldin and baseball great Roger Clemens are just a few of the famous names whose charities been targeted by Uncle Sam.

But before you start pointing the finger at Rodriguez, keep in mind that the blame doesn’t entirely rest on his shoulders. The A-Rod Family Foundation has done a lot of good in the past seven years and hopefully the money issue is just a miscalculation from the business office.
