Christian Chavez — a HUUGE Mexican TV actor who’s also an international pop star — was arrested Tuesday after an alleged physical altercation with his boyfriend … TMZ has learned.
Chavez is a superstar in Mexico, blowing up as a regular on the telenovela “Rebelde” … then as a member of the show’s spinoff band RBD, which sold more than 20 million albums worldwide before breaking up in 2009.
Law enforcement tells TMZ … both Christian and his boyfriend Ben were taken into custody at a home in Beverly Hills early Tuesday morning.
We’re told both Christian and the BF had visible injuries. Both men were booked on suspicion of felony domestic violence … the DA will decide whether to prosecute.
Sources tell us Chavez and his BF have been dating for roughly a year-and-a-half. We’re told the guys are definitely not on speaking terms at the moment … and a reconciliation is highly unlikely.
