Alex Rodriguez seems to be asking the world to say “a little prayer” after the MLB suspended him for 211 games for using performance-enhancing drugs.
But, in the opinion of former Miami Marlin’s manager Ozzie Guillen, Rodriguez should be steering clear of one of his rumored world famous exes.
A few hours after Rodriguez’s punishment was announcement, the very outspoken Venezuelan took to Twitter to blame a surprising source for the downfall of the great A-Rod.
Guillen, who has had his own fair share of controversies, was of course referencing Rodriguez’s rumored 2008 romance with the Queen of Pop.
While neither of the two ever confirmed the affair, his ex-wife Cynthia Rodriguez cited his affair with Madonna as the reason for her split from the Yankee’s star third baseman.
According to the New York Daily News, Cynthia told a friend back in July of ‘08 that, “I believe he was having an affair with Madonna.”
Cynthia also said she found a letter he had written to Madonna that said, “You are my true soulmate.”
At the time this was all happening, Rodriguez’s former trainer Dodd Romero, seemed to agree with Cynthia.
“I think he got pulled in by the dark side, if you can say that nicely. He’s totally brainwashed….[Cynthia] believes that is what ruined the marriage,” Romero told the New York Post about Rodriguez’s relationship with Madonna.
