The untitled series is being described as an autobiographical account of John’s real life. He’ll be playing a Bronx-bred Latino learning to adjust to an upper class lifestyle.
Leguizamo will also be producing the comedy and have creative input into all of the episodes. No other cast members have been announced but Deadline.com is reporting that they’re on the hunt for a know-it-all abuelo character.
And we get the feeling that John’s new show will add a lot of bite to ABC’s lineup. Not only will it feature Leguizamo’s brash voice, it will be executive produced a former Family Guy vet.
Look for John’s new comedy to debut next fall.
