Lionel Messi Injured Again, Out 2-3 Weeks via @ajelkallejero

FC Barcelona striker Lionel Messi strained his right thigh and will be out of action two to three weeks, the Spanish team said Tuesday.

Messi could still play in some of the remaining Spanish League matches, FC Barcelona said.
The 25-year-old star player underwent tests this week at a clinic, where doctors diagnosed the injury, which forced him to leave the field during Barcelona’s 2-1 win over Atletico de Madrid over the weekend.

Messi, considered the world’s best soccer player, has been ailing since pulling his right hamstring last month in a Champions League match against Paris Saint-Germain.

FC Barcelona is led by Messi and several members of Spain’s 2010 FIFA World Cup-winning squad, including defenseman Gerard Piqué.

The soccer club has arguably been the world’s best thus far this century, having won three of the past seven UEFA Champions League crowns.
