Ironically, it seems like the Jets have been dealing with more drama in the locker room than they have on the field. Apparently, several anonymous players from the New York NFL team have been trash talking backup quarterback Tim Tebow to the press. And it’s starting QB Mark Sanchez who has risen to his defense.
As you may recall, many thought the two QB’s would be the ones most at odds. Tim’s higly publicized role as backup quarterback had many thinking Mark was on his way out. But that hasn’t been the case and Sanchez, it seems, feels some sympathy for the verbal lashing Tebow received.
“I feel for Tim,” he told ESPN. “That sucks, it just sucks. It can’t feel good. But at the same time, I’ve been there.”
Indeed, Mark has been publicly badmouthed too. So perhaps the real problem with the Jets lies with all those other “anonymous” players. Let’s hope they resolve their issues before things fall apart on the field.
